🚀 However, before the introduction of the 2019 disclosure policy, only 12% of articles voluntarily provided replication materials, of which 55% could be (largely) reproduced. So the policy change seems to have been effective in boosting reproducibility.

🤔Other reasons for non-reproducibility include missing code, code errors, inadequate documentation, but also soft- and hardware requirements and code complexity. Clearly, there's room for improvement.

💡 Substantial heterogeneity in reproducibility rates across journal departments is mainly due to variation in methods and dataset accessibility specific to the research fields.

🧐 Key finding: For articles submitted since June 2019 (after a policy change making replication packages mandatory), 95% could be fully or largely computationally reproduced when data access and software requirements were met.

📢 New working paper alert! With the help of more than 700 volunteer reviewers, we (@milosfisar.bsky.social@chrhuber.bsky.social, Elena Katok, @ozkesali.bsky.social and myself) assessed the reproducibility of ~500 articles published in Management Science. Some results. 📊🔍 #Reproducibility
