No, but it’s common knowledge that Walmart, as a corporation, won’t cease to exist if they decide to not raise prices and choose other paths to cut costs to them. E.g in their store brand, supply chains etc etc. the argument I’m making is that Walmart can deal with the tariffs in a way that doesn’t

But from what I have seen, there are other ways to keep or increase profit margins that don’t include price increases that the consumer has to eat.

Well the question was who to blame for the price increases. I said blame both and gave my reasoning as to why Walmart is also to blame. Walmart, as a corporation will be fine either way, whether they increase their prices or find other ways to cut costs and support their profit margins to combat

I am not an economist by any means, so this is just my layman-social-media-comment-section-level take on this. I also don’t know what price hike Walmart has proposed, I assume it’s way above what is necessary and the tariffs are just a convenient excuse (like we’ve seen with inflation).

You can blame Trump and Walmart. You can’t make record profits and also claim that you cannot eat some of the costs for tariffs. I’m pretty sure Walmart would be fine simply NOT raising prices on their customers and reducing profits…maybe that would even pave a way to fair pricing policy

But what companies and what do we, the regular folk, will see from these investments? What will American small businesses gain from this? I can’t find anything so if someone has any pointers please share them!

I’m 100% convinced that Trump does not know what exactly is happening in the Ukraine and has no understanding of the complicated and hostile history between Russia and Ukraine. Like any average person.. except that he’s the President and commander in chief 😩

As someone who was interested in going to medical school in the US, the pre req expectation are also a problem in my eyes and tend to favor students that come from financially independent backgrounds.
I worked full time while going to school full time. I simply didn’t have the time to also volunte
