I really don't think that we can separate politics from anything since social contexts influence everything. I'm surprised how many people insist that reading isn't political 🤔

LoL am I the only one who prefers "regular" (or even used) books? Special editions make me feel like I can't touch them since I have to keep them in pristine condition, so they end up just hidden away in my closet. I prefer something I can throw around 😅

I had to read this in high school. This is one of those books that reading it once was enough for me 😅

I saw that tagline for this book and I was like, "SOLD!" I can't wait to read it!!! 📚

I'm from Hawaii! There is "Hawai'i Island Legends" and "Tales of the Menehune" by Mary Kawena Pukui. There is also "The Legends and Myths of Hawaii" by King David Kalakaua who was Hawaii's last royal king. I'll let you know when I think of more books

I really hoped they would turn it into a movie! I'm so sad that they didn't 😭

I'm more of a classic lit girlie, so I think I'm going to finally get around to reading Jane Eyre 😀

My thoughts as well. It's unfortunate that they have such a huge dominance in the market with the way that several audiobooks are only available on Audible 😞

I can relate except mine is a never ending list of ebooks since I only read digital. Otherwise, my home would be bursting with physical books 😅

For me, it was "Married to the Yuletide Alien" by Alma Nilsson. I thought I was getting a nice holiday story, but it turned out to be much more than that 🌶🥵🌶
