It's a shame they make the process so onerous. And I often feel like you have to prove "need" in ways that are somewhat degrading. I am moving away from grants soon bc after so many years, it's exhausting.

I'm sure there will be lawsuits of what's happening today that Canada loses. And eventually maybe a new TRCC. And ppl will wonder how it's still happening.

I always hear ppl say, "it's in the past, move on," but these things are very much still happening. The starlight tours, forced sterilizations, apprehensions of children at birth from new mothers... it's very much ongoing. And the TRCC only came out of lawsuits.

I'm a grant writer for Indigenous communities, myself as well. I hope the community gets it, too! Food and land based projects always make me happy.
