Every year if I'm home on #Thanksgiving, I use odds and ends of food to create a feast for one.💯

I'm really enjoying watching the movie, "The Last Movie Star." It's about an older actor revisiting his life choices and uses a bunch of REAL videos from Burt Reynolds' movies!

Here's a roadrunner that came up close to me in 2016. They're not big like in the cartoon. They're only about a foot tall, mid-shin height. The body is brown gray speckled, and the head top and tail are black.

More walking around up and down paths, and I didn't see everything available inside buildings because I didn't know about them.

I saw lots of cool metal art sculptures. This one had huge butterflies on top of red flowers probably 10 feet tall. This tree growing in a pot has roots surrounding a large rock. I'm not sure how they did that. This metal sculpture of a bee is the size of a turkey platter. There was an archway you walk through that had these all over it. Pollination is a big theme. This is an elevated view of the (park?) museum surroundings. It's more lush and dense than in nature due to human upkeep. Clouds are setting in. This kept the temperature mild with a gentle breeze. Distance is deceptive out here, that's why people die. In the bottom right is a red sign with a person standing beside it. There are flat squares of ground beyond the park that I didn't see when I took this picture. The mountain range is far away.

They had trained birds that would fly over the crowd to show how silently they hunted. There is an owl sitting in a tree at the center of this picture looking almost invisible. It's to the right of the brown Y. There were four Harris's Hawks flying around, so the crowd is watching one off camera to the left while I saw this one land on a trainer's arm in front of me. There are three Harris's Hawks sitting on plants in this picture. Various cacti and grasses fill the frame. Back inside the art building were lovely paintings, but I wonder if they were all done by hand. The top one has flowers with yellow petals coming across the view in front of barren mountains in the back. The bottom painting is of powder blue irises with purple trim against a blue background.

I enjoyed my Tucson trip Saturday to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, commonly just called the Desert Museum.

First up, the ride.

Border patrol agent stands back after his dog completes an outside search. Our bus was pulled over into the inspection lane so the dog could sniff for drugs. We also drove through an X-ray machine. This place is about 40 miles north of the Mexican border and has been here for years. The traditional cactus with the arms grow wild in Arizona. They take many years to get tall, so they are a protected species. Another view from the bus of open desert landscape. Mostly short bushes and some animal paths. Tall cacti are visible to the right, and some mountains are in the background. After we arrived, we all dispersed and I found a seat in time for the Raptor presentation. This invasive species of screeching bipedal from a different party was removed, thankfully, before the show began.
