I took care of my dad in the last year of his life. I advocated for him with doctors and hospitals and rehabs and the retirement community where he lived. I’m 2 hours away and the only child. I He passed away 6 weeks ago and I miss him. But I’m also proud of myself.

The first AC book I ever read. Home with strep throat, couldn’t go back until all the antibotics were gone, 12 year old me driving my mom crazy. She hands me The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and I grudgingly go off to read. Then I appear in front of mom like Oliver Twist asking for more :)

My father died about a month ago and I am still getting texts and emails from the funeral home asking me for a review. Like, it’s not as though I have a lot to compare it to…and do I want to go on Yelp and review it like I would a restaurant? Yeesh.
