Lover of words, birds, permaculture, food forests, rewilding, and the idea that gender and sexuality are on a spectrum.
This book, the story of a gay sleeping car porter traveling across 1920s Canada, is fabulous. I love the staccato paragraphs in which the porter walks the train and does his chores while trying not to fall asleep.

Every day on my way to water my community garden plot, I walk by this house. Almost every day the goose has a new outfit. This one is my favorite so far.

I’ve been posting here since December & wanted to introduce myself. I’m looking to connect with other recycling nerds, gardeners, Tolkien fans, poets, and fiction writers. I love to share what I know about waste management & what I’m learning about mycology and community gardens and food forests.

I went to the protest today at the state capital in Denver. I arrived late, but there were people standing along Lincoln with signs and drivers were responding positively. There was lots of honking. As I stood there, protestors who had marched around the area came up and joined us.
