People struggle with percentages, notes @anthlittle.bsky.social, so different question designs can help: bsky.app/profile/anth...
I think some of this is driven by the fact that people don’t understand percentages very well, and give better answers if you ask “Out of 100, how many are X” (though the general pattern still holds)
