All things considered, this is a win. I am grateful for a thoughtful reviewer this time. I appreciate @wendyalsup.bsky.social’s critique and will consider it. Although I don’t think I can do much about my tone nor our fundamental disagreement about the importance of history in this ongoing convo.

Well, I know my current book is sitting on NYTimes bestseller list today (and probably just a few more days; i can’t imagine to be this lucky two weeks in a row), but I really am starting to write the third book today, too. And it’s starting off with Whitby. @brazospress.bsky.social

Came straight home from a wonderful trip in UK to a planned surgery to fix my ankle/foot. It was a long surgery and went well, but I’ll be recovering for a while. I should be in a walking boot by book release.
