The Attorney General in reading the Hate Bill in Parliament, makes the point repeatedly that the law applies to protect IMMUTABLE aspects of a person's identity - race, colour, national or ethnic origin.

It explicitly excludes religion as a basis for discrimination, excluding Islamophobia

Here are two more pages of the Explanatory Memorandum for the Hate Speech Bill relating to enabling the use of AI or Palantir for ASIO assessments

Note these are general powers that would be introduced in the gun buyback and assessment parts of the Bill. The scope for use of AI is general

Here are details from the Hate Speech Bill about the changes to the ASIO Act that allow ASIO to use AI and potentially Palantir to make general security assessments of people.

These powers are not limited to the guns buyback or assessments, They are general.

Burke said he wishes the government was “going harder” on hate speech

"In this moment Australia has a chance to respond more loudly than the evil of the terrorists and to simply say they don’t speak for us. Our voice is: you are welcome here forever, we will make it safe"

WOW! Check out Submission 145 of the Hate Bill by the IGIS.

The proposed Hate Bill is intended so that it "may arrange for the use of computer programs to take specified criminal intelligence assessment action"

They want AI, maybe even Palantir as is done in Israel, to determine criminals

Very interesting watching the Public Hearing with Peter Wertheim.

At the start he claims Jewishness is based on race (immutable),

but denies that Muslims have a claim to race (religious choice -mutable)

Later, he claims Jewishness is cultural (mutable)

Roy Morgan has the Coalition primary vote above ALP.

Let's see how the numbers move after the sitting next week & Albo's performance.

There is plenty of time for a new PM to settle in before the next election.

Go for it, Jim!

Sad that we have to consider the ALP has moved to the far-right of the political spectrum, and joined the MAGA mob with Trump

At the federal level - AUKUS and this Hate Bill trashing our democracy & sovereignty

At the state level we have the NSW and now the SA Premier trashing our norms
