Zionists are attempting to replicate in the 21st century what the European colonisers did in the 18th/19th C. It's why they call American anti-Zionists hypocritical. They want to have a settler colonial state like Australia, Canada or the US but have yet to complete the necessary ethnic cleansing.

I do not see the moral difference between a Zionist settler from say, the Bronx, moving into a settlement in occupied Palastine and what she did. She was a settler colonialist who moved to occupy stolen land.

There were people alive who remembered the land before the Europeans settled it. I say "crime" to get a point across, because whilst it was perfectly legal at the time, we have the benefit of hindsight to see it was wrong now. And she was very much living in stolen homes.

Do you have *any* idea how young that is in terms of states outside of the US? Westwards expansion was an ongoing process that didn't stop when a town was built. It was cemented and fortified and as someone else pointed out, the Trail of Tears happened about a decade before she arrived.

They were colonies that had been settled and the nation that they paid taxes to used those taxes to actively support westwards expansion and genocide. Yes, they were very much part of the settler colonial project. They actively chose to be a part of it by moving there.

But those who went to the British colonies and, yes, the US, became part of the European settler colonial project.

This is a variation on the "It Wisnae Us" narrative popular amongst Scottish nationalists. I'm afraid that Irish people who joined in the settler colonial project of the US were still settler colonists. Their reasoning or motivation does not change the reality of their action.

I mean, they did. Because conditions were bad in Ireland they travelled west to seek opportunities and escape starvation by becoming settler colonists. Not all the Irish diaspora went to the US, either. Some went to other parts of the British Isles, others to Canada and Australia.
