Most definitely. Freedom and privilege comes with responsibilities, and voting is one of those responsibilities. More than 20 democracies around the world have some or the other compulsory voting system. At least 10 enforce it with penalties.

Only in the US do you have intellect levels so low that part of the population think otherwise.

Or at least to one that pay their UN contributions on time. The USA owes the UN more than 1.5 Billion Dollars. More than half the outstanding debt.

In my opinion voting should be a condition of citizenship and any benefits from the state.

Make it a legal requirement to vote, as in many democratic countries.
