Semi-retired Indiedev, made Gunman Clive, Mechstermination Force and some other stuff. Sweden, He/Him, gay, single
As much as I don't care about the Goeff Awards, I'm still happy to see Silent Hill f nominated for narrative, and perhaps more surprising and significant, japanese Hinako for performance. I'm assuming that's a first for non-english language actors

I'm kinda tired of so many indie metroidvanias being so sleepy. I'm bored with 'atmospheric', give me some funky grooves while I'm exploring

Was able to get back my Steam account now. And it doesn't look like the hackers were able do much damage before it got locked, except change the publisher listing on the GC1 store page

So my Steam account has been hacked, which includes the publishing account. Trying to get in touch with Valve support to get it back but in the meantime I'd recommend staying away from my games on there. Not that anyone's buying them regardless

Is there seriously no Sound Options in Mario Kart World? the music is so low and engines so noisy

Can confirm Mechstermination Force runs on Switch 2, and my other games as well

Black Mirror Hotel Reverie was a pretty dumb episode, but now I kinda want a lesbian remake of Casablanca

if the Switch 2 price is somehow actually the thing that kickstarts a working-class uprising, will history books call it the Nintendo Revolution or the Nintendo Wii?

Higher AAA prices means a bigger pricing range for indies and AA devs, so I aint mad. Also we're already paying those prices on PS5 here in Sweden
April 4, 2025 at 10:16 PM
I had assumed $80 was already standard. Most big PS5 releases are close to 900SEK here. Surprised to learn those are just $70/70€ elsewhere. Guess we'll have to wait and see what Nintendos policy on swedish currency will be for Switch 2 games

Gotta wonder what's going on with the sony-fromsoftware relationship
April 2, 2025 at 3:57 PM
Otherwise though... yeah that presentation could have used some Gunman Clive 3 😜
April 2, 2025 at 2:16 PM
Ok, Bloodborne 2 was not on my bingo card
April 2, 2025 at 1:57 PM
Unfortunately there will be no Gunman Clive 3 in the Nintendo Direct

I spent the whole time watching Adolescence looking for hidden cuts, figuring there had to be some real complex green screen stuff and motion tracking going on, never even entertaining the possibility that they actually filmed the complete episodes as oners 🤯

All my games are currently dirt cheap on the Switch eShop www.nintendo.com/us/search/#c...

They seriously did the Akira slide on a f*cking horse

Aside from the general insanity I can't get over the audacity of offering a country of 40 million people and a land mass bigger than the US the same status of like Wyoming. A serious offer should be like 5-10 states (while still insane and evil)
Canada: "They get 95% of their product from the United States, so I think they have to become the 51st state. You heard the people booing the national anthem, but I think ultimately they'll be praising the national anthem ... I call him Governor Trudeau ... we're looking at Greenland."

This was obviously always gonna be the case, but a small part of me was hoping for a full reset and an empty eshop to rerelease my games in

Just spent hours trying to figure out why the 2D collision code I've used for 2 shipped games suddenly had the player randomly falling through platforms, before realizing I'd accidentally made the platform move slightly along the Z axis and it was in fact working as intended

Not sure if it feels like a 12 year graphical leap or not , or what that would even look like while still maintaning its style and a level of detail that's still reasonable for a solo project

This is in no way an announcement of GC3, or that I'm seriously committing to working on it, much less ever finishing it, but I played around a bit this weekend with applying some of my more recent rendering tech to its style

Testing testing, let's see if people stick with this one or there's a shiny new twitter-like next month #indiegames
