Same, but it’s not fixing it if it doesn’t scale. Also, how’s that book of business looking? Ime, low propensity to buy and lack of reputable practitioners serving the space means it’s not actually tractable.

But can you get paid to fix it? Lol

For example like this, I feel compelled to share at least one example from my discussions with corporate folks using it where one team with no context AI generates work for another team who has context and lobs nonsense AI generated content back out of spite.

Shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic, but it’s honest work, lol.

The silver lining I see is all of the new ai stuff exposes attack surfaces never before conceived. From a maturity level, could end up being 2010 again. But your point remains about pay. Most practitioners are janitors.

Even red teamers writing novel first stage loaders are just writing novel first stage loaders once every three months and then writing a new one in 3 more months.

Performance sacrifices are there, just to a significantly lesser degree with Go.

The UNBELIEVABLE AMOUNT of overt and covert pressure internally, w/r/t regulators and through lobbying says good luck. Basel 1, Basel 2, Basel 3/Dodd Frank, etc etc will never keep those fools from spiking the football into their own face.

1991-2006 there was less precarity, and 2007/2008 that changed and was never fixed.

All of these questions of material conditions is mediated through that lens and, therefore, also poisoned.

One merely has to scratch the surface of social media company behavior over the last decade to understand that we are swimming in a toxic sludge of information that none of them are incentivized properly to clean up…and may not be possible even if they were at this point.

We live in a cesspool of corruption and unaccountability. Material conditions are secondary to the phenomena demonstrated by, say, the Twitter location update from this week. The information environment is poisoned for everyone, but the aims of that poisoning are to corrode American values.
