I know beyond any doubt that I would have lost my life if I stayed in the classroom. My blood pressure was 175/113 the day I put in my notice to HR. After surviving a stroke in 2020, I couldn’t risk another year

I think the one thing that burns out teachers is the unbelievable range of challenging behaviors in the classroom. You can be a master level teacher and students will dial in your number by September and then it’s managing/minimizing the disruptions. #retiredteacher
