Have written fiction for years for my own amusement. First draft novels, screenplays, story outlines...

I'm not a noob. Studied IT as a postgrad. Firewall settings always cranked-up to MYOFB. Everything locked-up tight.

Looked in the system tray just now and feel like I've burgled.

Spent 3 days researching which CAD program to best use on next big project because nothing can justify the AutoDesk rip-off.

I opted for Dassault's SolidWorks. Affordable and I've used it before with the big plus that's created by a European company.

Oi, @channel4news.bsky.social are you even awake? The merger of SpaceX with xAI is not the big news about Jeffrey Epstein's other South-African friend, Elon Musk.

Why not swap notes with your chums in Manchester?

Somehow, there are still folk in Scotland (and the rest of the UK) who think that the UK govt is better placed to defend us than an independent Scotland. Last week, the same muppets who made Peter Mandelson the UK ambassador, signed a defence agreement with Peter Thiel's company Palantir.

It's not radical to think every vote should count.

It's not radical to think every constituency should matter.

It's not radical to think 34% of the vote is not a landslide.

It's not radical to want to vote for the party you truly support.

It's common sense. #PRnow

Absolute butt-nugget.

English is a Germanic dialect but then maybe if Yank schools taught kids how to spell, they'd have also been able to write to their elected representatives to not only ask about the delayed release of the Epstein Files but why they're not called 'The Trump Files'.
Trump in Davos, Switzerland:

"Without us, right now you'd all be speaking German".

German is the main language of Switzerland.

There's no such thing as "British Greens". What a feckin' idjit.

The Green Party of England & Wales is led by Zac Polanski.

The Scottish Greens are a pro-independence party registered in Scotland.

Tonight's winner of Russian-sponsored bot...
British Greens had a great run. Now they will start talking about foreign policy, probably the usual Putin bootlicking, and their popularity will collapse.

Where are the trees?
We have A LOT of this landscape and less than 4% native woodland. This should be a rich mosaic of habitats, moor, bog, woodland, montane scrub…We force it to remain in this artificial state. We don’t need to give every inch of our uplands over to sheep, grouse and deer stalking.

Amazon is making money off AI copies of books - and putting the onus on authors to prove they’ve been plagiarised.

Honestly, just stop buying books from Amazon. Get them from an actual bookshop or order them from a reputable book supplier like bookshop.org

It's official, and as someone who was diagnosed dyslexic later in life, I can't say I'm surprised, Times New Roman is the official font of 21st Century fascism:

I prefer Courier: it's the font on old typewriters & looks just as good on all operating systems.

Even with Scotland’s relatively large 65+ population - the group least likely to back independence - the overall picture is clear.

Across the full voting population, current polling shows YES would win a referendum with almost 59% support.

Scotland has already moved on.

"Britain" is not a country and while folks in England continue to delude themselves otherwise, Russia will continue to accurately assess that the United Kingdom is a weak link between Europe and the US. The ability to control the future begins with some honest reflection of past and present actions.
"There’s a bit of an obsession with Britain. We're a nuclear power, we're on the UN security council, and we have a relationship with Washington closer than any other European country. Brexit and our economic problems all play to this idea that the UK is a soft target."
