Typical that Arsenal have to play them twice during the run.

Yep. We probably wouldn’t have kept up with Liverpool anyway, but the Newcastle fixtures last season really cost us. The league was gone by the time we’d been knocked out.
December 21, 2025 at 3:11 PM
Yep, the Palace fixture is bad enough with the timing and if we win (+ assuming we’d play a strong 11) I feel the Chelsea games would be a big inconvenience, despite being a semi final. I wonder how the players feel about it. Play and win, or do they see it as overload for them and would prefer rest

Talking of injuries/subs… the lineup on Tuesday will be interesting. Don’t want to see anyone who started yesterday.

The players all do seem to have big admiration for Arteta. They’ve bought into what he’s doing so far (the others extending contracts) and I still think the group believes they’re going to win something together. Probably got to do it this season though. Another 2nd place finish brings doubts imo

That’s why 1-0 is never really safe. Very frustrating we don’t try to kill these games off when the opposition are clearly there for the taking. Really, we should’ve had that won by half time after getting into the lead. Should’ve killed it off with that Trossard chance later, but do that earlier!

I’m pretty confident he’ll extend. I think the lack of noise about it is because it’s likely to happen soon. Complete guess work from me though.

I’m amazed he didn’t have a penalty awarded against him for the kick on Barry. We really got away with one there.
December 21, 2025 at 9:59 AM
Maybe people were on to something when they said move Saka to accommodate Madueke. Let’s put Saka at left back!

Let’s hope we’ve learnt from Sunderland and Wolves. Need to kill it off with another goal.
December 20, 2025 at 8:55 PM
Bullet! Your prediction is 50% there. Come on!
December 20, 2025 at 8:50 PM
Considering the amount of touches we take in the opposition box, this is crazy!
December 20, 2025 at 8:37 PM
That’s the 28th best player in world football you’re talking about.
December 20, 2025 at 8:02 PM
No shitted bed tonight please, Mikel!
December 20, 2025 at 7:59 PM
Arteta’s record away at Everton isn’t good. Hopefully tonight isn’t one of those nights.
December 20, 2025 at 7:54 PM
Merino to come on and save us probably
December 20, 2025 at 7:19 PM
Absolutely! Would be amazing for their fans. I bet the financial rewards are crap relative to final PL league position, but your point about playing a team capable of finishing higher in the table thus avoiding the playoffs is spot on. Would help them in both competitions.
December 19, 2025 at 10:12 PM
Let’s hope he can take some confidence from it
December 19, 2025 at 8:37 PM
If I were a Palace fan, I’d be wanting to go hard for the Europa Conference and would be happy to have a mediocre league season. Understand the owners may not feel the same, but it’s surely their “easiest” route back to Europe for next season?
December 19, 2025 at 8:32 PM
Is it just the writers listed at the top who compiled this? I’d like to see their working out.
December 19, 2025 at 8:23 PM
Can he start playing like the 28th best footballer in the world, please?
December 19, 2025 at 8:19 PM
I can’t see it happening, but I’d be fine if that’s the way he went. The timing of the fixture is terrible considering the run that’s coming up, and with all the injury issues we have at the moment I’d sooner see us take fewer risks. I do like your suggested starting 11 though.
December 18, 2025 at 8:47 PM
I’d rather not see either of them playing, but I think Timber is the one who needs the extra rest considering the Ben White injury. I’d imagine Saliba will be starting Everton, Brighton and Villa, so hopefully he gets to sit it out too. Doubt it though.
