All-rounder for The West Australian's sport team, but mainly football (⚽) & rugby. Devin Booker, Tugay & emo night enthusiast. Views are sadly, my own. News tips: [email protected]
I know they squandered the chance to win it and then immediately threw the game away with some calamitious defending up the other end, but I actually came away more impressed with Newcastle

Man, it is refreshing to interact with a football coach so open about the tactical side of the game.

I'm not saying Montemurro is a tactical Lisan al-Gaib, but it is nice to get football answers to football questions.

Started Severance. Glad Ben Wyatt finally got his claymation film made.

Gout Gout. Holy crap. He clocked 9.99 seconds for the 100 - but it came with an illegal tailwind of +3.5 so the time won't count. Through to the final of the under-20 100m.

Read Sellout by Dan Ozzi a couple of years ago. Have only just started on this one, but already sucked in. Not enough books written about the glory years of emo/pop-punk.

Yeah I like the away, and don't mind them trying different things. Would have liked to see them do what the Wallabies did and incorporate indigenous art into the design

I enjoyed the way they tweaked the formula with each growing album - they weren’t content with releasing the same album over and over. VI was not an enjoyable record, but the way they pivoted, changed the formula and ended their career with two fun, good, interesting albums was appreciated.

I've always found YMA6 to be more of a singles band than an albums one: while I've liked most of their albums, they've never really gone above 'pretty good' in my estimations - but they have written one or two truly great songs per album consistently

You Me At Six have kicked off their final tour and I had the pleasure of being at their last Australian show ever a few weeks back.

It's always a sad day when a band you've been listening to for more than a third of your life calls stumps. But there's something to be said for going out on own terms

I didn't listen to as much new music this year (can you see a theme emerging) and while I liked a lot of albums, I don't think I loved any. These are my top 10, in no specific order (but the ones I liked more are nearer the top - long live the Twin Atlantic renaissance).
