IMO it may be simpler to recognize that this is basically "just following orders" in machine form. A user may make bad choices in their prompt, and perhaps be liable for them—but that does not absolve the "agent".

Anyway, *taps the sign*

This is too much of a caricature

It's disingenuous to quote that number without noting that Sara Gideon, the establishment-backed Dem who failed to topple Collins in 2020, had even less—with only *four percent* coming from in-state, and significantly less of it from outside the urban core.

The message from SCOTUS is clearly "I can excuse the racism, but I draw the line at 📉"

Look, there's definitely "radical" stuff in some modern near-mainstream left politics, but it's only radical because society has been so beaten into submission that, like, "pay your workers," "tax the rich," "feed children" are radical.

Anyway, same energy:

Maine says: No.

Maine is going through some shit right now but we did good tonight. No voter suppression; yes red flag laws.

Hollywood: *dramatic zoom through dense layers of mechanics and lasers, retinal scans and molecular atmosphere scanners* "We've got our work cut out for us, team. There is zero room for error in this plan."

Real life: *drives up with a ladder truck* "Password: LOUVRE."

I've rejected other "this skull is a totenkopf" arguments in the past but this skull is 100%, specifically, the SS-Totenkopf and there's no escaping it.

Messing around with Svelte. Not … thrilled with the typings.

Interested to see how @pressherald.com spins this Brunswick crowd against @grahamformaine.bsky.social. I don’t see a tech company logo or “brunch boot”.

WCME says "One of the largest crowds on the Brunswick Town Mall in recent years, numbering about 600 at peak". We're 8 months from the primary.

Thinking about how both the lead-up to, and aftermath of, the election has been full of "Democrats are too focused on culture war stuff"

Apparently Graham Platner is at the #UpTheHearts game tonight ♥️

Seeing accusations of media stenography which I think are often very justified but what I'm seeing is mostly stuff like this which seems *pretty* clear that it's bogus? Maybe "unproven" should be "disproven"?
September 22, 2025 at 10:00 PM
How do they publish stuff like this? "…unless your son was mistaken for a prowler" a) yes, that happens because "mistakes" arise out of racial biases, so "that actually wouldn't happen" is false and b) of course it's not always a mistake, sometimes it's just plain-old open racism (see Ahmaud Arbery)
