Also, Semiotext(e)’s Foreign Agents series in its 80s design: very cute, very moreish, like Fitzcarraldos. Mine is last library-stamped 05-NOV-1997. But JB is coming back round, I’m sure 🤣

But the exhibition is so big that I still saw some things that were excitingly new-to-me:

Paul Graham’s DHSS offices
Tom Wood’s New Brighton nightclubs (think my mum had all of these haircuts at one point)

Enjoyed catching Tropical Modernism at the V&A this morning - only a pity it closes before I meet my new slate of MA students of British culture and decolonisation.
Shows really well the encounter between modernism, colonialist views of the “tropics”, and midcentury anticolonial internationalism.
