Today, we organized a vulgarisation workshop about paleopalynology at the Musée Espace Gaïa in Montereau-Fault-Yonne for the "Fête de la Science"! Rafael Cabral, Adele Giobbini and myself (with the help of @mathildelp.bsky.social) presented 3D printed pollen grains to the public.

We show that endemism started at least by 47 Ma, and possibly much earlier, in the Paleocene. Older sites are so far lacking, but we expect to publish some in the next few years (stay tuned!). With @benjaminraynaud.bsky.social @mustafayk.bsky.social and many others at @climatecerege.bsky.social
