Hard to beat spring birding and wildlife viewing in beautiful Montana!
Hard to believe it’s been nine years since I first headed to the Arctic! ❄️🧭
As an field assistant on Bylot Island 🏔️🦊, I had the incredible chance to study arctic foxes thanks to @dominiqueberteaux.bsky.social. That experience sparked my love for the North and played a big role in where I am today.

Thought-provoking commentary by @amyforsythe.bsky.social just dropped on our recent study of individual heterogeneity in life-history trajectories! Always exciting to see the conversation evolve.

🔎 Our results specifically reveal four distinct life-history trajectories that were previously undetected.
🚼🍼 Some sheep follow a “silver spoon” path, thriving from an early-life advantage, while others experience trade-offs between growth, longevity, and reproduction.
