Oh yes, I had to double check that the Thanksgiving Proclamation happened after the Emancipation one (it did) to confirm its practical effects - and even then I was verrrry intentional about using "white supremacist" as the adjective instead of the noun.

I love this story because I think its neuroscience is actually wrong/impossible - but nevertheless you will leave this story understanding the (real) science better than you did at its start.
