The USA doesn't see how it can make quick money from Ukraine surviving or Europe staying relatively at peace. Therefore, especially with Trump as president, Russia will do as it pleases.
The US govt only respects oligarchies in the 21st century.

Agreed.

Generally, I agree. Although this budget (and some measures between this and the last) have done exactly that. And the media spin is violent. Obviously.
We ought to be stepping through gears back towards centre, then left. We are stuck in election-winning centre-right. KS needs to move or be moved.

I looked at that at the time.
The detail just isn't there. And it has been picked apart by those working with the figures.
I'd really like to see the greens step up their economic credibility. Labour policies are derived from the members, too. But the leadership steers the ship in both, of course.

And so far, the greens have just given populist rhetoric and little to no substance. And everybody is ignoring just how torn apart the party is over social issues.

What would you have done, in detail, for the same or better results?
Please show the figures you are using.
What is the Green alternative with substance, not just rhetoric?

Truthfully? Not really.
I don't think he gives a toss about it. It is vote-neutral according to all previous destruction of the CJS. It's entirely treasury-led. It always is.
At worst: "clamping down" on "fat cat lawyers and their scumbag clients".
Add: "think of the victims!"
It's shameful.

I don't think it is driven by authoritarianism, per se. It is an unfixable albatross. The CJS collapsed in real terms as a result of the Carter reforms and subsequent slash-and-burn under the every govt.
The public doesn't care. It is an easy cut without votes being lost.

A copper being honest, straightforward, unbiased, and practical on this subject just now on James OB's show.
Good work, David.

Leveson was asked to find ways to cut. He did it. He's good like that.
His mantra & that of the government is, 'if not these changes, then what?!'
The argument is that we have a backlog & inefficiency. It must be down to defendants having rights. That's where we cut because the public doesn't care.

Yes. Because he is a disgusting racist grifter and seemingly always has been.
Water is wet.
Bears. Woods.

His fans (like trump's) don't care. In fact, many consider it a selling point. So do the journos who want him front and centre for engagement and ad revenue.
