Seems awfully low and almost like it intently makes the situation seem less bad than it probably is.

It all boils down to the concept of constitution not being applicable for immigrants.
It is mind-blowing that people think immigrants don't deserve due rights. And here we are with citizens being treated as "immigrants" and lose their rights.
Will this country ever fix this monumental flaw?

ICE's budget is eyewatering.
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) provided ICE with a supplemental $75 billion to be used over four years.
That's roughly $18.7 billion per year on top of their regular budget for am effective budget for 2026 of $28-29B.
Compare: FBI $8B and Fed Prisons at $10B.
