Brexit was the biggest political mistake I've witnessed in my lifetime. And there have been a few! I think the challenge is healing the division that seems to exist (in all countries). Life is never good at the extremes.

It's mighty depressing. I feel slightly naive that I thought the direction of travel would always be forwards... but this has been a lesson in how quickly things can change.

It's also interesting what's happening in the property market. My parents are saying all their friends are struggling to sell their houses at the moment (these might have started as modest houses but have been added to over the years). Is the societal wealth running out? Or a stamp duty problem?
