Ideally, yes, absolutely. Unfortunately, I don't see that Mastodon has enough mainstream appeal for it to be considered worthwhile. Not that Bluesky is mainstream in the way Twitter was of course, but it's still more so I think, and in terms of resources, needs very little effort to run an account.

Lucky find! Yours look nicer than my dulled ones, some of which are blotchy and uneven - I suspect there's been an abandoned half attempt at cleaning some before. Hopefully once they're all sorted, they'll at least dull nice and evenly!

Honestly? Either change the handles at some point, or if not, maybe leave it another twenty years and then think about doing it again!

I wonder what'll happen with the land now. Another housing estate? It's immediately adjacent to the railway, so not ideal. Another retailer? Industrial? We'll have to wait and see. Regardless, the impact on the main road is important - already traffic choked, narrow, and hostile for active travel.

While it's of no consequence now, I took a detailed look at the active travel plans during the consultation phase four years ago, and found them to be lacking, developed without local knowledge, and with clear errors in the documents - a poor show from a retailer priding itself on sustainability.
