Also happy with the fantasy dwarfs, even if I did completely fail my goal of 1 a week. But having Gotrek and Felix and the slayer pirates in my collection and done is really cool.

I’m really happy that I got to the Steel Legion, they’ve been in the backlog for years. Hopefully I can get them to a proper playable size next year.

Got these for a really good price actually. ‘Fixing’ the unit to work in model 40K might be expensive though. Ideally I want two plasma gun guys.

I think I just used the micro sol decal softener, and it just settled in the gap.
A diluted Nuln oil definitely went over everything including the decal and filled in the gap.
It’s been a while, so I’m not 100% sure.

I can recommend. Though the current editions rules need a house ruling.
To win the scenario as written the attacker just needs 12 models in or on the fortress. Which feels far too easy. And we house ruled the wall getting destroyed, no rules for at all.

With that the Angmar army was quartered and the dwarves still controlled the fortress.

But Balin stands his ground, and pulls out a victory. Smiting down the Carn Dum warlord (and his orc jester).

Meanwhile the fight on the walls had been a meat grinder. Eventually, once few of his warriors were left Aldrac climes a ladder to face Balin (I was using Durin’s rules).
It went really badly for Balin at first, pushed back and reduced to 1 wound!
