Blender's UV unwrapping is so terribly it's making me want to stab my eyeballs out

im certain that there are interesting ways to do things like this, but I think it requires different kinds of models than (raw) LLMs

not to mention depression and a whole host of other things

for her, she mostly seems increasingly bummed out, which i hate to see happen to her

but in some people, this leads to falling down rabbit holes of conspiracy theories

even if there's no material change RIGHT NOW, being a lab rat means that you might at any moment be be electroshocked

and KNOWING that can be very damaging, and lead to hypervigilance, erroneous perception, paranoia, and conspiratorial thinking

and so even if the experimentation isn't producing actual changes, there is nevertheless a very real and JUSTIFIED perceived loss of power and control over ones own life. a complete lack of agency and self-directedness

and for random folx on social media, that experience can be annoying, for sure, but for someone who's livelihood is YouTube monetization revenue, that's your rent, your food, your medication, your LIFE, that's being controlled and manipulated and experimented on

I think what is ACTUALLY going on in many of these cases is that the existence of this massive Skinner Box makes people feel like they're being toyed with, controlled, manipulated, and used by powers beyond their control or understand, because they kinda are

but i don't think she's right about having been targeted for algorithmic censorship. she's not important enough for targeting. it's also not even remotely true afaict to say she's lost viewers, at least not going by video view count

that's a pretty solid description of what Cory Doctorow describes as twiddling

pluralistic.net/2025/07/28/t...

and I think that this is entirely true of what's going on with youtube and other platforms, so she's not wrong about twiddling

now, I think she does have some valid points because she makes the correct analogy to behaviorist experiments on animals trying to induce behave by external punishment-reward mechanisms
November 27, 2025 at 6:44 PM
now, I say "evidence" very very generously, because no actual.. you know, analysis is done to see if this is true. not even a simple chart of views-by-video-#

and from what I can tell scrolling back looking at her videos, they really havent changed in viewership at all
November 27, 2025 at 6:41 PM
the example I'm thinking of specifically is a youtube who shall remain nameless, who has become convinced recently that she has been removed from the recommendation algorithm for some mysterious reason, and her evidence is that her videos are being seen by fewer and fewer people
