Huge update today. I hope this leads to answers. My heart still breaks for those who knew and loved Sage--especially those who died before answers were obtained.

But also, Trump DOGEd the federal grant money to replace lead service lines. I’m so angry about this Aquarion mess. I’m super protective of the teachers and kids in Bridgeport where I work and nothing makes me madder than the way the state ensures they always get the crap end of the deal.

When we rented in Trumbull and had Aquarion, my spidey sense had us using a brita filter for all cooking and drinking bottled water. Now that we’re out of their clutches and in a regional water authority, I’ve learned my instincts were accurate. And, we cook with tap water now and drink brita water.

This raises a really interesting question: how does the school system ensure that the SROs are actually cleared to work with kids? Do they do the same background check as school employees? Because illegal tracking of a vehicle should be disqualifying for working in a school.

My first year at Buford, one of the SROs groomed an eighth grader. We had just thrown a baby shower for him and his wife for their first baby.
