People poke fun at how archetypal a lot of the cast members are but I think it hits the perfect balance of feeling familiar while having their own charm

People are way too mean towards Vaan and Penelo tbh

I still remember this game coming out when I was a kid and just not liking it at all lol. Absolutely hated how it played compared to the older ones. In hindsight, I do still think it's the start of the mainline games losing a little bit of themselves trying to chase after impossibly-wide appeal

I don't like to say this out loud much because I know it probably comes off bad in certain context but I do think a big moment in my healing process was realizing that sometimes you can in fact just choose to not be sad
