I will never excuse the vitriol by some of the folks online when it happened. But I don't think we can also punish rest of the community for the acts of people we have no way removing from an online space.

The RC are people who gave their time & effort to the format & I appreciate the stewardship.

From a power level, I remember a lot of comments in various Twitter threads where casual players were saying "I've never seen JLo or Crypt cast at a casual table."

It was a sad to see it banned shortly after it was a chase rare printed on the boosters but I don't want bans based of market either.

The statements made by some when it was banned was terrible, there is no excuse to how some reacted. The RC folks are wonderful people giving their time to the game.

But every good kid in a classroom who was punished because some kids misbehaved I think folks can relate to in some capacity.

They apparently blocked me. That's unfortunate, I didn't think anything that was being said was that divisive. Oh well, I understand people want to choose how the spend their time online.

I disagree. There were a lot of terrible people during that ban announcement who said awful things.

But that's like all the time good kids were punished in a class because some misbehaved. Or when someone bullied gets in trouble along with the bully because it's the rules.

But that's just me.

Rhystic is a play pattern no one at any level likes. I am shocked it keeps getting dodged. The other stuff is fine.

I appreciate the effort people put in but I have a hard time seeing how announcement after announcement it is determined that Rhystic Study is a good play pattern for EDH at any level. It's all I was truly hoping for from today.

That being said, I appreciate you and your team and the work you do. Thanks for still making Magic.

Life moves on, but I really am underwhelmed. I guess I got my hopes up. I really was hoping to see something to help make the format less stale. I could write so many words but I am no one who matters. I was excited to see something to make the EDH meta healthier but now I am awfully melancholy.

I am a underwhelmed.
