WBA, St Pauli, decent music, good reads, cycling and other lost causes. Getting on a bit.
War schön, den (?) Podcast anzuhören. Immer gut, Ihre Perspektive zu erfahren, und ich freue mich, dass Sie trotz Chaos und Einsturz bei uns bleiben wollen.
Schönen Sonntag noch!

I’m not sure how much was really in that story, tbh. He was in his first season at St Pauli and was focused on keeping them in the Bundesliga, as he is again this season. I doubt whether we’d have had the financial means to prize him away, even if we were interested.

Definitely

A very welcome three points, though Heidenheim are also struggling. But a point against Cologne last week and a win in the cup suggest an upturn in form going into the winter break.

It’s their grubby, and totally futile pursuit of a handful of votes from either the ignorant or the most easily gulled. Horrible.

Meps you idiot is my favourite name for him.

But great header

We can’t afford the compo?

Total Communications Breakdown at the back for United’s second goal.

Glad it went as well as it could, Chris. Take care, it sometimes hits you in the days afterwards.
December 8, 2025 at 11:12 PM
Yes, though it would help if the other parties had coherent economic policies of their own

He did the same to me for daring to ask about his colleague, Sangita.

Scratch a liberal……

Council by-election in Stapleford (Broxtowe BC) yesterday. Broxtowe Alliance gain, polling more than Labour & Reform combined.

Fair point. The ‘dirt’ on Farage et al is important to expose, but it can only go so far. The rest is down to other parties getting their act together.
December 5, 2025 at 10:57 AM
Seems you were a bit wide of the mark…..
December 5, 2025 at 10:40 AM
That’s true as well. But there is a critical mass of ‘Reform-curious’ voters who are persuadable and may be dissuaded from voting Reform by all the awful stuff coming out about them.
Other parties need to earn those votes back, though.

We had a council by-election in Stapleford (Notts) yesterday. Very much a potential Reform town, with lots of flags in the town centre. After a hard-fought campaign, the local independent (socialist) candidate won, with more votes than Reform and Labour combined.
Reform CAN be beaten.

This is the party determined to eliminate wasteful spending. An absolute fucking clown show.

If not child-centred, what is education for? What or whom -‘centred’ should it be?

I saw Booker T and the MGs in 1970 in Birmingham. I only knew about Time is Tight at the ‘time.’ Cropper’s playing that night was a revelation. It has stayed in my memory all this time!
Very sad to learn of his passing.

A tricky one, I’d imagine. Full recovery often takes longer than you’d imagine. I’ve personal experience of people seeming to be out of the woods, but finding out later that there’s still a way to go. And it was a very stressful job.
