that being said, olivia and/or any of the svu team lecturing their newbies or anyone really about acting outside of the law will never not make me cackle.
the thing about procedurals, especially long running ones is that the characters WILL be hypocritical asf and it's up to the viewer to kind of just accept that that's how tv works and move on.
