God, THE GREEN KNIGHT was just... so beautiful? Excellent use of contrast and even brighter color filters (maybe it's also a matter of current medieval films being very grey and black and... darker grey that it stood out?) The titular Green Knight being practical costuming made it so tactile.

Just a reminder:

HARD TO BE A GOD's budget was $7 million dollars.

THE GREEN KNIGHT, $15 million dollars.

Yeah, they're indie and very different dramatic vehicles compared to modern blockbusters, but the production value SHOWS.

Being bipedal is already too human. 😈

PIG makes me actively angry that Michael Sarnoski, a DEBUT DIRECTOR, trusted so much in Cage's acting, whereas most others would've considered letting him phone it in for a paycheck or a meme shot, that he pulled out some of his self-acknowledged best acting in a feature movie.

Like, Cage is good!!

Like, it's technically a smaller-scale drama, because the stakes are legitimately awful to sit through for an individual, but there's such a deliberation of cinematography and long shots and handling of assimiliation in a tight, small few rooms and spaces, like a slice-of-life, and with no closure.

I mean, what can you really say about CASTRATION MOVIE PT. 1 TRAPS that hasn't already been said?

But THE BODY REMEMBERS WHEN THE WORLD BROKE OPEN? Easily *the* movie that justified my attendance in GRSJ. Like, I usually hate watching films for a grade, but I poured so much into that essay... gods.

I mean, phonetically, I’d understand that spelling, at least.

He's staring at the novel like it's the Necronomicon.

As it should.

It's, at least, good that you avoided the worst, even if less than that is... well, still a car crash. 😔💨

M'AM, do you think people do not have eyeballs and basic memory recall or camera phones with license plates??? 😭

Tiernan, that looks like what happened when my parents got plowed after they had to buff out the damage to a point.

She absolutely plowed into you. It could've gone even more south in a different time and angle.

Any potential gifts to think about before a potential niece comes out into the world?

The LEFT 4 DEAD series is my favorite zombie media by default and that's because of 1. lines like these, and 2. the gameplay integrates well that you can't do this shit alone. You die really quickly and pitilessly if you misstep even once, even if you think you're hot shit.

You need cooperation.

Can't wait for him to see Susie punching out a prophecy with her bare hands and heart-eyes over it and get some SELF-ESTEEM.

My fucked-up prophecy-burdened boy. 🥺

It's pretty tender and pleasant to look at, so I'm certainly not complaining. 👍
November 3, 2025 at 2:27 AM
Huh. Strange coincidence, but I was just thinking of them just a few minutes ago before seeing this repost. But yeah, it’d be great to see something new with them again. 😌 👌

Wait, what.
November 2, 2025 at 4:59 AM
Nice picks, I got LADIES OF THE LIVING PRINCESS, BLOOD!, EXO, GARDEN OF A GUILTY MIND, CELL DIVISION and LOVEBIRDS among others out of that list.

Kind of wish I could've swung for THE LUMINARY LARK-MIRROR, SHARPIE'S MISSION OF RAGE AND JUSTICE, and ORNITHOMANCY too, but ah chips fall where they do.

I think there’s still another hour left, actually, but yes, tight squeeze. 😩

What did you get, out of curiosity?

I unfortunately can only relate. I NEED THEM. THEY NEED TO BE AROUND ME.
