If you were closer I would say to come hang out with my firsties for a bit. First grade is good for the soul. Their teeth are falling out and they still see magic everywhere, most of them. 💜

Both of mine were teachers but I would get dropped off with my Mamaw and Papaw if I was sick when I was too young to be home alone.

One of my favorite pairs of school pants (and I don’t have a lot of clothes) got a hole in it Tuesday and I cried. Buying lots of things second hand from eBay these days.
