You never close your eyes anymore when I kiss your liiiiips
There’s no tenderness like before in your fingertips

But baby, I knooooow it…

If all agricultural land in WY used 1 cfs per 70 ac at the same time it would come out to about 400,000 cfs which is... a LOT for WY 😅

Meanwhile Google's AI overview you are now forced to scroll past in order to find real information is complete garbage. Apparently 270k is less than 68k to LLMs

Same! I did some hikes in the Mt. Zirkel wilderness in my PhD but wasn't thinking about ribbons until later on.

Now working with @rockiceandsnow.bsky.social and others putting together a project to study their morphodynamic behavior!

Photo from some prelim fieldwork this summer in the Snowy Range

Some of the more spectacular ribbon forests starting just north of Rabbit Ears Pass. A favorite hydro-eco-geo-morphodynamic (how many prefixes can I fit) feedback system

Our department students threw a heck of a fundraiser again this year! Annual SEES mineral auction always a full house!

And a massive shoutout to Mineralogie gem and mineral shop on the westbank for their amazing sponsorship again.

And scarier still, the fact that it's been around a *while* and so many physicians seem unaware.

(poorly worded paragraph - should say *another* 35% said they were not confident, which is to say only 23% had any confidence that they could diagnose)

Key takeaway - in bedload dominated conditions, bedforms organize into groups, which migrate at same rate as the individual bedforms. These establish a three-phase noise regime in power spectral density of f=-1, f=-1, f=0 with transitions corresponding to turnover timescales of the dunes and groups.

Hey NOLA peeps (bleeps?)!

We’re hosting an Empty Bowls fundraiser a week from tonight at UNO! Come on by for some food, get a handmade bowl, and help provide funds for the Privateer Pantry!

Much like this hellscape they built on Baronne - definitely affordable housing (at first) that somehow all got a swimming pool and are now STRs. Our council is (and always has been) either easily hoodwinked at best or likely grifters at worst.

Whole lot of these sounds too, which are in the same frequency range, though I'm not sure if they are smaller Red Drum or something else
