Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

The piece is about grade school kids but I struggle with this as a law prof. I hate laptops in the classroom but I recognize many reasons students feel compelled to use them, incl bc they can often access cheaper casebooks that way.

I welcome wisdom from other profs who have experimented w/ bans!

This makes 75 deaths in 19 strikes.

The president is using our armed forces to kill people suspected of drug crimes on his say so. They call it “armed conflict” because they don’t want to acknowledge it’s murder. But it’s “not hostilities” because they don’t want to ask Congress for approval.

The War Powers Resolution 60-day clock doesn’t authorize force.

But it is another law that the president’s boat strikes will violate as of Monday.

Former State Dept colleague Jessica Thibodeau and I teamed up for this one:
No way around this: On Monday, November 3, the Trump administration's lethal military operations against suspected drug cartels will be prohibited by Congress.
