If anyone was confused by what they saw yesterday, it was because they didn't have decades of experience dealing with a family member with narcissistic personality disorder. For those of us who are not so fortunate, it was all very straightforward, and was not about "affection."
A lot of posts and commentary about Mamdani's charm and that being why Trump is affable and friendly.
I think every one of them is wrong. Trump's a narcissist who's polling at 30%. Of course he's going to cozy up to Mr. Popular and hope he's contagious.

Why is it always verbal gymnastics instead of "Listen. We all know Trump is a bully, a coward, and a liar. These are the only three traits he has. He chose bullying when he thought Mamdani would not win, he chose cowardice when confronted with Mamdani himself, and he chooses to lie everyday."

It really puts the whole cover up of Trump being ALL OVER THE EPSTEIN FILES in an easy - even for the GOP lovers out there - to understand chart. Now if only the GOP actually gave a damn.....
