From the sounds of it, adjusting the mixture screw has no effect whatsoever?
If so, then that points to a bad/clogged idle jet, but it being new is the only thing that gives me pause, and is why I'd check for air leaks first.

Check for any air leaks around the mixture screw, as o-ring are prone to going, but also very easy to pinch when fitting.
Check for air leaks at the base of the carb, and for any perished/cracked vacuum hoses.
If those check out, then try either removing and inspecting the jet, or replacing.

I also may have misquoted it a bit myself there haha. I believe originally it's "a jack of all trades but a master of none, is oftentimes better than a master of none." which makes more sense.

My interpretation would be it's usually more beneficial for people to try having a diverse range of skills/knowledge, opposed to being an expert in one field, and having no skills/ knowledge of anything else.

Dragon's Dogma 2 really impressed me when I saw a guy forking straw into a stack. Sat watching him for a few mins. Later in the game I saw them loading it onto a horse and wagon.
