Now playing…Station To Station (1976) isn’t just a bridge between Bowie’s soul era and Berlin Trilogy, it’s the Thin White Duke at his most intense. Recorded in a cocaine fuelled haze he barely remembered, it fuses krautrock, funk, and art rock into a cold, hypnotic masterpiece. #DavidBowie

In 1971, Marc Bolan didn’t release Electric Warrior, he detonated a glitter bomb. “I am the Cosmic Dancer” isn’t just a lyric, it was a velvet manifesto. It isn’t just glam rock, it’s a cosmic swagger distilled into vinyl. Electric Warrior was a rhinestone revolution with a pixie in a feather boa.

Underrated album.

Exactly, and while others keep touring their greatest hits, he’s willing to push boundaries. I saw him in July and the show was outstanding with a lot of deep cuts that had casual fans wondering who they had come to see.

A deliberate track list change. Epic swapped it for Life Begins At The Hop for the US release thinking it would appeal more to the American market. Ridiculous considering Nigel was already a hit in the Uk having been released 3 months earlier.
