Ironically though, I see some parallels with TLC, since one of the members passed away.

I actually grew up in that era (Granted Hip Hop and R&B, rather than Kpop) and there were quite a few boy bands, girl groups, and mixed groups that I grew up on, some of whom are lesser known. Back when bands were also prominent here in the states. So it's awesome to see it referenced here.

Oh wow. This kind of confirms that they were a late 90s/early 2000s group. Very much the Destiny's Child or TLC of their time. Would love to see a prequel about them. Maybe a few songs inspired by that era of music.
