I’ve just been trying to explain to everyone the weirdness of it all so that can understand the “what”… no one but TK will ever understand the “why” I think…

Agreed
November 27, 2025 at 6:33 AM
Nope, but two of the belts involved weren’t AEW belts… Also Eddie chose to defend them all…

The whole damn thing is just weird…

I don’t know if it’s good or bad yet, mostly just weird…

I picked up both & hope to read them over the holiday weekend. I got the AEW crossover cover.

But what they said on air and on their website never actually reflected that.

Okada will be international champ at the end of the C2 no matter what.

If he wins then he will have all 3 belts.

If someone else wins they will be Continental Champion & the Unified Title will be vacated…

This Alliance of Violence will make the wrestling world tremble.
November 27, 2025 at 5:37 AM
Because the International and Continental titles were never unified, they just gave Okada a special bonus belt called the “Unified Title” because he held two top men’s singles titles at the same time. That’s why all 3 belts exist and he was on the roster page as a champion 3 times.
November 27, 2025 at 5:32 AM
Unified is just the name of the belt, it in no way signifies that the titles have been combined which is why we have Okada on our webpage as a champion 3 times…
November 27, 2025 at 5:07 AM
Basically Takeshita has to beat them both to win if he is going to. One in the Semis and one in the finals.
November 27, 2025 at 4:56 AM
The block finals are across blocks as of last year. Protostar and Okada can’t face each other again until the Finals unless they tie on points… Though Okada loses that tie-breaker right now…
November 27, 2025 at 4:54 AM
I’m not against Okada just keeping his special boy belt & us never seeing it again… Unless they want to actually unify titles in the traditional sense…

I am just day dreaming to try to figure out what TK might do with it…
November 27, 2025 at 4:53 AM
Maybe so they can use it in the future for belt collectors that are only collecting AEW titles?

Maybe they want to do an Infinity Stone style Thanos Champion… I do not know.

Maybe the Unified Title ide plates should be the titles the holder has…
November 27, 2025 at 4:37 AM
He doesn’t have 2 singles titles so I guess it doesn’t count…
November 27, 2025 at 4:22 AM
Yep, pretty much. It was a special title for Okada/Kenny to reward them for having 2 major belts at the same time…

I don’t know why it is this way, but they never really lied about what it was except by omission.

Confusing & unecessary…
November 27, 2025 at 4:22 AM
They always showed Okada & Don holding all 3 belts.

They had all 3 displayed on the website with Okada’s picture.

No titles were ever “unified” in the traditional sense… Okada just got an extra special title for being a double champion.

It’s weird but this seems to have always been the intent.
November 27, 2025 at 4:18 AM
I don’t even necessarily like that they did it this way but it’s really caused a bunch of unnecessary confusion & crash out which is 100% on them.

If they use the Unified Title in the future as an extra prize for any champ that holds 2 belts then fine, but they need to explain it better.

That is the case. Excalibur tried to explain it but didn’t do a great job so I’ve been trying to clear it up on the Skyline.
