Just a bear. LGBTQ+ being. Cars, music, retrotech, alternative. Makes stories, poems, and questionable life choices. Help me learn Mandarin!
I'm going to make the Ampera work and consider it a sacrificial anode.

It's already well on the way.

If I still had cars to test, I would eat the £3K loss of this vehicular turd and scrap the damn thing.

No energy/strength for fixing things like this and if it weren't for this thing being a rotten heap of damaged "repaired" junk, I wouldn't have needed to move Mazda before renewing every pipe :(

There's no magic money tree, there is a money ecosystem.

Remember the water cycle? Rain, oceans, heat, steam, clouds?

Earn, tax, spend what you earn - loads or not, enjoy government or private services, more people are paid, more tax. Rain, oceans, steam, clouds.

Musk et al? Infinite bottles.

So, that's actually worse than when I started and I have no idea where it's coming from other than "everywhere" and either the fuel line I researched over and over before buying is actually wrong, the only clamps that fit are wrong, or lines under the car hated being moved so much they're fountains.

Oh, and one Sinclair.

I wish I'd bought one of these the moment I moved in. I would probably have changed cars far less often and been less stressed!

(I had one before, but it was stolen in 2018 when someone said they'd store it for me. And eh - the new one is SO much better)

I have managed to contort my hands and wrists enough to ensure all the fuel lines are in place and clipped so when the battery has charged, I'll find out if the petrol leak was a bad connection, an error of mine leaving the charcoal canister disconnected because it's a PITA, or the main pipes leak.

Seriously, who designs service items like this. Let me hurt them. Please.

Task fail. Day wasted. Everything stinks of petrol.

I wouldn't mind, the Mazda is long-term resto, but I just want a sensible daily driver and the Ampera cost £3K and broke in a fortnight. And I can't fix it. Or, it seems, get the Mazda off the lift without fixing the fuel lines properly. More ££s

Move three cars, put some wheels on one.

Now too fatigued to want to do more. But the Mazda enforced a rest, I guess that time with me faffing and it on the ramp and no trickle charger did drain the battery a touch. I should update the alarm system.

Need to fix Ampera and get it MOTd. Ugh.

The fuel filter is in, though loose until I get the new bracket from Japan. The main hoses are replaced (at this end) and the pipes are in - one vent pipe to argue with and the tank balance pipe feels crusty but NLA, so I hope it doesn't leak.

Horrible job. Needlessly so. #MazdaRX7

One day, I will meet the engineer that located the RX-7 fuel filter and chose the bolt location and fasteners, and I will dump some petrol on them while covering their arms in rust and scratches while they solve a Rubik's cube blind in a locked room full of bees.

All the time I've been background-sulking that every time a Spectrum Next kickstarter happens 5% reach Speccy enthusiasts and 95% show up on eBay at 100% markup because all the slots were taken by flippers...

I was unaware of open-source Nexts like the #XberryPi - and it is very cool. Looks funny.
