I think with all relationships, friends or romantic. It’s a trial by fire once the honeymoon phase is over. Once you really feel who they are and have them see you and them at their lowest, can it really thrive into a deep connection. And sometimes it’s hard to fight those projected ideals.

Still to this day 30 years later. I still am kicking myself in the butt for not being able to save Lucca's mother.
