I don't like this one either, which sucks, because I want to love it blindly just for having Captain Marvel. Also, it's kind of ridiculous that Superman acts jealous of Cap "stealing the spotlight." I get it on a meta level, but I still hate it, because Superman wouldn't act like that, as you say.

I've seen the comics too, but I think your approach was better, because it still the design still says 'Drop of Oil', but rather than trying to obscure the issue, you just made it non-existent.
