Went up Waimea Canyon today. Unfortunately didn’t get to see over the back into Kalalau because of clouds. But it’s always rewarding to drive up there.
Near the bottom of Waimea canyon on Kauai. In the center is the river running down the canyon floor. Multiple heavy clouds explode upward. The landscape is full of red volcanic soil, the dry desert-like brush of the Kauai rain shadow, and lush green in the canyon bottom. Looking down Waimea Canyon on Kauai. Cloudy hang heavy above. Soil is bright rust colored with lush green plants growing on the canyon floor and walls.

This makes way more sense if you imagine Andreesen holding a shwag joint all red-eyed, starting this with “dude, check this out…” and inserting a “dude” either at the beginning or end of each sentence.

Let’s just say that Threads and Bluesky have somewhat different ideas about privacy.
Bluesky collects contact info, content, and identifiers associated with you and anonymous diagnostic data. Threads vacuums up everything under the sun.

Photo taken on a late summer day, with heavy marine layer cloud cover, from the top of a cliff overlooking the pacific ocean north of Santa Cruz.
