Agreed. I also really enjoyed Kip’s dad and Shane’s parents on my second watch because I knew they were going to be loving people throughout. Watching with trepidation isn‘t great! Second time allowed me to appreciate the story minus the anxiety.

I did just that. Watched the first time through expecting something awful. Rewatched and found episodes 5 and 6 so much more charming the second go-round.

Do you have a recommendation to buy in the US other than Amazon? Legends of the Leaf is calling out to belong to my daughter!

Just band after band coming through. I’m thankful we didn’t have to get anywhere yesterday or today because wow is this weather impressive.

I regularly say this about the U.S. Postal Service. They even put it right there in the name!

I’m so sorry for your loss. Your sharing his experiences has been wonderful for so many of us here. The obvious love shines through. May his memory and his stories being some comfort through this sadness.

When did the Medill F disappear? Your student was a clear example of one. Open and shut case back in the day and we all knew it.

I got a birthday card in the mail from my MiL a few days after she passed unexpectedly in her sleep. She’d written one of her warm notes acknowledging the tough time we were going through. Her love was like a hug. Almost 13 years later, I type this through tears. Wishing you and yours peace.

We sure do. Pride & Guts … with volume.

It seems odd they’d go to the trouble of going over The Grade but not go any farther than Camarillo.

Seriously? Here I am, dealing with America, sure, but also able to appreciate a great tale. Appreciated it enough to read the thread and a number of the delightful comments aloud to my husband, who also appreciated it. We both thank you for the history lesson!

Ah, thank you for the clarification. It would still be great for the Dems to flip the seat, but not for that reason.

Obviously an unimportant observation, but KCLU is calling Target a department store. That makes that parking lot with Home Goods and McDonald’s sound a tad classier than it is.

You are a Very Good Person, as Larry With the Pink Collar’s person used to say on the other place. Thank you for caring for that sweet dog. What a sad face. Here’s hoping he finds a wonderful home with a wonderful family.

I rarely listen to her because I don't need the added irritation of her tone but quite often the video plays silently while I read a post. I immediately noticed the difference in her body language today. I’m curious what beyond a Fox gig could be causing it.

This is what I think, too. By denigrating only the SNAP recipients in blue states, he can try to keep the focus off the people in need in the red states. Not like they aren’t there and in as much need, but he avoids acknowledging the breadth of the country’s issues.

Dodgers. Definitely the Dodgers. Sounds like professional-grade fireworks going off in Ventura.

I placed an order for my dad, who in the 1950s took typesetting in high school. He took the class because his mom had worked in print shops for years and it gave them a class “they could share.” I wish you all the best on your surgery and for writing a book I can share across another generation.
