also, this is where I admit I'm already doing a lot of the planning for my year-end wrap-up. Certainly leaving room for surprises but I know a lot of the things I want to make up categories for so I have an excuse to talk about them

(admittedly, i haven't played around with any of them because i don't have a subscription but) yeah, that makes sense as an ongoing thing

(i do also realize that these algorithmic end-of-year wrap-ups are also a bunch of work and I get why they would launch them before everyone is off for the year. It's just American Thanksgiving is so early)

Oh, I 100% get the professional end of year wrap-ups being a bit earlier: they should also have time off over the holidays so you need to prep early and yeah mostly stuff isn't coming out anyway.

But like, I'm still listening to old & new music over the next month. why would the wrapped ignore that

you put that shit out january first when you also talk about your plans for the new year.
