Through interviews with documentary photographers, it reveals enthusiasm for AI’s ability to support community-driven storytelling, alongside concerns about authenticity, trust, and the risk of misrepresentation.

This study examines the emerging role of generative AI in documentary photography, highlighting both its creative potential and ethical challenges.
